Remover uma película de envelopamento de um veículo pode ser difícil, especialmente se ela estiver envelopada em todas as bordas. Confira algumas dicas para realizar uma remoção limpa e eficiente. Vamos usar o capô como exemplo, pois ele tem uma área de aplicação bastante grande e pode ser complicado remover uma peça tão grande de película de envelopamento.
Divida em seções
Se for difícil remover um painel grande, a maneira mais conveniente é dividi-lo em seções antes da remoção. Afie sua faca primeiro e faça leves toques na película de envelopamento com a lâmina afiada.
(Cortar diretamente sobre a superfície sempre envolve riscos. Se precisar de mais segurança, teste em uma peça de sobra sobre uma mesa de trabalho para encontrar a pressão adequada a ser usada com a faca.)
Corte ao redor da borda superior do capô e faça vários cortes verticais na superfície principal, como se estivesse criando faixas. Basta encostar a lâmina na película e marcá-la levemente.
Você não precisa realmente cortá-la por completo. Se o material não se romper, poderá fazer outro corte depois. O ponto principal nesta etapa é riscar a película e ajudar você a encontrar o ponto de partida para removê-la.
Remova-a
Você pode começar pela borda próxima ao para-brisa. Encontre o ponto de partida e remova um pouco da película na parte superior. Assim, você terá acesso às “faixas” na área principal da superfície.
Ao remover a película, faça isso rapidamente para garantir uma remoção limpa. Se encontrar uma peça grande que não esteja devidamente separada, faça outro corte na direção correta para dividi-la primeiro em faixas.

Why would you EVER consider cutting the vinyl directly on the hood in order to “section” it off into strips?! I don’t care how skilled at cutting someone is, it’s just a matter of time before problems arise…
To tackle a hood, I’d start at the back corners near the A-pillars and pull up the vinyl facing the windshield first (just past where it rounds the top edge). Then working along the fender facing sides towards the front of the hood and finish unwrapping the front edge before moving to the main area. Starting from any of the corners (I start from the front), use a little heat and begin making low (30-40 degree), quick “popping” short pulls away from the direction you’re removing (similar to removing a command strip but instead of slowly pulling low and back you want to make quick popping motions to “snap” up the vinyl to help avoid leaving excess adhesive on the surface). Continue working around the perimeter of the hood working towards the center or back of the hood until the removal is complete.
