Description

Some cars shout. This one commands the room without raising its voice. TeckWrap Satin Navy Black is a deep, blue-shifted black with a soft, silk-like sheen, understated, expensive-looking, and quietly aggressive. Whether it covers an entire build or just sharpens a roof, hood, or accent panel, it gives a vehicle a controlled, blacked-out presence that reads as pure confidence.

Key Attributes

  • Depth without the shine: A near-black satin base with a smooth, low-luster glow that sits closer to matte than gloss, hiding the reflections and swirl marks a bright finish puts on display.
  • Navy hiding in the black: In shade it reads as clean, deep black; step into direct light and a cool navy cast lifts out, backed by a fine steel-grey metallic.
  • Adhesive you can trust: Henkel solvent-based acrylic, transparent, ultra weather-resistant, and holding firm through heat, cold, and daily driving.
  • Paint-safe and removable: Pressure-sensitive film lifts cleanly with heat, leaving minimal residue and your factory paint untouched.
  • Made to conform: Stretchable calendered vinyl with air-release channels wraps curves, edges, and deep recesses bubble-free, equally at home on a full wrap or a single accent.

Satin Navy Black changes character with the light. In overcast or indoor conditions it settles into a deep, almost solid black with a soft, muted sheen. Under direct sun the navy undertone wakes up and the fine steel flake catches, giving the panel a cool, metallic depth instead of a flat wall of color. The satin finish spreads highlights into a gentle sweep rather than sharp mirror reflections, so body lines look smooth and intentional from every angle. It's the kind of blacked-out look that stays refined up close and unmistakably premium from across the lot.

OEM Match

  • Closest to BMW Carbon Black Metallic, the benchmark blue-black that looks black in shade and reveals deep navy in sunlight.
  • Comparable near-black depth to Audi Mythos Black Metallic, which carries a similar fine, cool micro-metallic.
  • Darker and more restrained than Porsche Night Blue Metallic or BMW Tanzanite Blue, which read as open navy rather than black-with-navy.
  • Cooler and bluer than a neutral graphite such as Audi Daytona Grey, holding a blue-black cast instead of grey.

If those factory blue-blacks are your inspiration but you'd rather not commit to permanent paint, Satin Navy Black delivers the same stealthy navy-in-black character in a soft satin finish, on any vehicle, and fully removable when you want a change.

Warranty

  • With proper care and a ceramic coating, this matte metallic finish offers up to 3 years of outdoor durability on vertical panels and around 2 year across a full wrap, depending on climate zone.
  • It is more delicate than gloss, and parking indoors or under cover extends its life. Heat-removable, with minimal adhesive residue when removed within the recommended period.

Application

  • Application temperature +17°C to +23°C
  • Tools: soft squeegee with buffer
  • Conformability: flat and moderate curves, deep recesses with inlays
  • Post-heat: 100°C
  • Cure: 24 hrs above 10°C, 48 hrs at room temperature recommended
  • Overlap: 4 to 5 mm
  • Directional film, check orientation before cutting
  • Avoid overstretching during application
  • Remove protective cap before install

Care and maintenance

  • This is a flat matte metallic finish and it needs more care than a gloss or satin wrap. Outdoor durability is shorter than gloss and satin and depends heavily on climate, washing habits, and whether the vehicle is kept indoors. Parking under cover meaningfully extends the finish.
  • Wait 48 hours after installation before the first wash so the adhesive can fully set.
  • Hand wash only, using a pH-neutral shampoo (pH 3 to 11) and a clean microfiber mitt. Rinse grit away first, wash gently, then dry with a clean microfiber towel.
  • Avoid automatic car washes, brushes, abrasive pads, and high-pressure washers. All of these mark a matte surface.
  • Never use waxes, polishes, gloss enhancers, or any product containing solvents or petroleum distillates. These raise the sheen unevenly, dull the matte, and can permanently degrade the film.
  • A vinyl-safe, matte-compatible ceramic coating is recommended for added protection and easier cleaning. Standard gloss coatings will change a matte finish, so use a matte-rated product. Aftermarket coatings are applied at the owner's discretion and any coating-related damage is not covered.
  • Spot-clean fingerprints, fuel, bird droppings, and tree sap as soon as
possible. The longer they sit, the more likely they stain.
  • Always test any cleaner or coating in a hidden area before treating the whole vehicle.
