Description

Most chameleon films promise a shift and deliver two colours, and only in direct sun. The rest of the time they sit on the car as a dark, muddy nothing. TeckWrap Color Shift Purple Green carries the whole travel, violet, indigo, and teal are all present between the purple and the green, and the film holds a jewel tone even under cloud.

Key Attributes

  • The full travel, not two endpoints: deep violet-purple through indigo and teal to emerald green, with the intermediate steps visible rather than skipped.
  • Interference pigment on a polymeric hybrid film: premium multilayered construction with air-release channels holds the shift evenly across large panels, with no orange peel breaking up the effect.
  • Weather-ready adhesive, clean release: Henkel solvent acrylic stays transparent and ultra weather-resistant, and is heat-removable within two years for the cleanest removal on a sound OEM finish.
  • Orientation is the whole job: the shift orients with the film, so a reversed panel shows a different colour than its neighbour at the same viewing angle. Consistent direction and one production LOT per vehicle are non-negotiable here in a way they aren't on a solid colour.
  • Never overstretch this one: conforms over smooth and medium-curved surfaces, but overstretching distorts the shift pigment and the effect goes weak and patchy exactly where the film thinned out.

TeckWrap Purple Green reads by angle rather than by brightness. Stand square to a panel and it's a deep violet-purple. Let your eye travel along the flank and it moves through indigo into teal. At grazing angles the shoulder of a wing, the crown of a bonnet, the edge of a bumper, it lands on emerald, sometimes with a bronze-green cast. Under overcast skies it stays a dark jewel tone instead of collapsing to grey.

OEM Match

  • Same violet-green flip as Nissan Midnight Purple III (LV4).
  • Deeper in the green phase than Nissan Midnight Purple II.

Factory colour-shift paint essentially does not exist. It amounts to three legendary limited runs, all decades old, all now carrying collector premiums, and nothing currently on sale from any manufacturer at any price offers it. Purple Green is the only realistic route to that finish on a modern car.

Warranty

Built for long-term outdoor use, with up to 3 years of durability on vertical panels and around 2 years across a full wrap, depending on climate zone. Horizontal surfaces such as roofs, hoods, and bonnets take the most sun and weather and carry a shorter expected life. The warranty covers manufacturing defects such as bubbling, cracking, and adhesive failure when the film is properly stored, professionally installed, and maintained per the care guidance. It does not cover abrasion, scratches, gloss change, or normal wear. Heat-removable within 2 years for the cleanest removal, with minimal adhesive residue.

Application

  • Surface: apply only to a clean, sound, fully cured OEM factory finish. Repainted, primed, aftermarket, or damaged surfaces can affect adhesion and removal and fall outside warranty coverage.
  • Apply at +17°C to +23°C
  • Tools: squeegee, buffer, knife, masking tape, heat gun, magnets, gloves, IR thermometer, IR heater
  • Conformability: smooth and medium-curved surfaces
  • Post-heat: 100°C
  • Cure: 24 hrs above 10°C (48 hrs at room temperature recommended)
  • Overlap: 3 to 4 mm
  • Directional film. The color-shift effect orients with the film, so keep orientation consistent across all panels and use one production LOT per vehicle to avoid a mismatched shift between panels.
  • Avoid overstretching during application, which can distort the color-shift pigment
  • Remove the protective cap before installing
  • Professional installation strongly recommended for the best result and to keep the warranty valid
  • Aftercare: hand wash with a pH-neutral shampoo (pH 3 to 11). Avoid waxes, solvents, and petroleum-distillate products, and never use automatic washes, brushes, or high-pressure washers.

Disclaimer

All TeckWrap statements, technical information, and recommendations are based on tests believed to be reliable but do not constitute a guarantee or warranty. All products are sold with the understanding that the buyer has independently determined the suitability of the products for their purpose.

TeckWrap products are warranted to be free of defects in material for the period of shelf life. In case of defects, TeckWrap will replace the product or compensate at its sole discretion. This is the exclusive obligation of TeckWrap Inc.

Warranty does not cover normal wear, transportation, labor, or consequential damages. Coverage requires proper storage, professional installation, and maintenance in line with TeckWrap's care guidance, and does not apply to films installed on non-OEM, repainted, or damaged surfaces. If you notice cracking, lifting, edge failure, or other defects, contact your installer promptly for assessment.

Color-shift films change apparent color with viewing angle, lighting, and surroundings, and the direction of the shift follows the film orientation. This is the defining characteristic of a color-shift film and is not a defect.

Removal from aged, repainted, or poorly bonded factory paint may lift paint or clear coat. TeckWrap is not responsible for the condition of the underlying paint upon removal.

Screen images may vary, refer to physical color swatches. Use the same production LOT for color consistency. Scratches during application or daily use are not covered.
