Black Gold wrap on this Mercedes has a clean, premium glossy finish with strong metallic gold highlights. Customer originally wanted satin, but was very happy with the final gloss look and overall result.

Thank you, glad it turned out well and the customer liked the gloss result.

Amazing paint like depth

Amazing material easy to install and very glossy. Truly shines in the sunlight with a great paint like depth. This car is still wrapped in this color 3 years later and looks just as good as it did on delivery day.

Working on a F350 in the bronze color now. The customer's getting it rewrapped. It’s very good at curves nd no discolor when stretching it

Thanks for choosing us! We're glad to hear the black gold wrap is performing well on the curves with no discoloration when stretched

I'm extremely satisfied, I am on my second color of teckwrap, I currently have honey lime. I can send photos of both colors on my corvette, and I had black gold on my widebody challenger as well. Love the brand

We are excited to hear that, thank you so much for your support!

TeckWrap issue

We recently used TeckWrap vinyl at our shop and unfortunately had a very difficult experience with it. Our installers are experienced and regularly work with other major wrap brands without issue, but this material was noticeably harder to work with.
We ran into problems with consistency, adhesion, and overall handling. It did not lay or stretch as expected, which significantly slowed down the install process and affected the final result. We even had to order an additional roll to redo sections, which added time and cost to the job.
Most importantly, the customer was not satisfied with the outcome, which is something we take very seriously.
We’re always open to trying new materials, but based on this experience, TeckWrap did not meet the standards we rely on in a professional shop environment.

Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. We understand that this install was challenging, and we truly appreciate your effort.
The film you ordered is multi-layered and thicker, so it requires slightly different techniques during installation, especially around edges and recessed areas. Be sure to lift & relax the film before applying to reduce stress, and avoid overstretching. It's better to apply it cold or with minimal tension. Sufficient post-heating is also important, ideally around 100–110 °C, to ensure proper adhesion. We're always happy to provide guidance to make future installs smoother.

Easy to use: I'm going from mirror chrome wrap to this was a lot easier to apply. The wrap is forgiving. I would get this wrap again. The color is amazing and I got a lot of complements on it. Check it out on my IG 74_joey_b. Widebody Supra wrap

Amazing Gloss PET vinyl: i was working with Teckwrap for 10 years or more and still improve the quality

Description

Gold wraps tend to fail at one end or the other. They flare brassy and cheap in full sun, or they lose the gold entirely in shade and read as plain dark brown. TeckWrap Gloss Metallic Black Gold holds both ends. The dark olive-gold base stays warm under cloud while fine metallic structure lifts antique brass highlights the moment light hits it.

Key Attributes

  • Dark base, warm core: olive-gold base with bronze and brass undertones stays warm in low light instead of flattening into brown or grey.
  • Renolit 190 Series film: hybrid polymeric construction with fine metallic structure gives the finish depth and movement across body lines, with no orange peel.
  • Weather-ready adhesive: Henkel solvent acrylic stays transparent and ultra weather-resistant, with an air-release grid liner for a controlled, bubble-free lay-down.
  • Clean release: heat-removable within two years for the cleanest removal, with minimal adhesive residue on a sound OEM factory finish.
  • Panel-to-panel discipline: conforms over smooth and medium-curved surfaces; as a dark directional metallic it demands consistent film orientation and one production LOT per vehicle.

TeckWrap Black Gold is built around a distance effect. From across a car park it reads dark and understated, closer to a deep bronze-olive than to any bright gold. Walk up to it and the metallic opens up. Direct sun lifts a bright antique-brass flare across the panel, golden hour pulls the base into a molten bronze-gold along the shoulder lines, and overcast light settles it back into a deep warm olive that never turns grey. Beside a conventional bright gold wrap, this one stays quiet at range and does its work up close.

OEM Match

  • Closest to McLaren MSO Aztec Gold.
  • Same warm gold-bronze tone as Mercedes-AMG Kalahari Gold, in gloss rather than magno.
  • Darker and more olive than Lamborghini Oro Elios.
  • Warmer than BMW Individual Frozen Bronze.
  • Less orange than Toyota Oxide Bronze.

Factory gold is almost always either a bespoke commission or a loud limited-edition launch colour, with nothing in between. Black Gold sits in that gap: a gold restrained enough for an executive sedan, warm enough for a tuner build, and dark enough to work on coupes, SUVs, and trucks alike.

Warranty

Built for long-term outdoor use, with up to 3 years of durability on vertical panels and around 2 years across a full wrap, depending on climate zone. Horizontal surfaces such as roofs, hoods, and bonnets take the most sun and weather and carry a shorter expected life. The warranty covers manufacturing defects such as bubbling, cracking, and adhesive failure when the film is properly stored, professionally installed, and maintained per the care guidance. It does not cover abrasion, scratches, gloss change, or normal wear. Heat-removable within 2 years for the cleanest removal, with minimal adhesive residue.

Application

  • Surface: apply only to a clean, sound, fully cured OEM factory finish. Repainted, primed, aftermarket, or damaged surfaces can affect adhesion and removal and fall outside warranty coverage.
  • Apply at +17°C to +23°C
  • Tools: squeegee, buffer, knife, masking tape, heat gun, magnets, gloves, IR thermometer
  • Conformability: smooth and medium-curved surfaces
  • Post-heat: 100°C
  • Cure: 24 hrs above 10°C (48 hrs at room temperature recommended)
  • Overlap: 3 to 4 mm
  • Directional film, especially metallic colors. Keep film orientation consistent across all panels and use one production LOT per vehicle to avoid color shift between panels.
  • Avoid overstretching during application
  • Remove the protective cap before installing
  • Professional installation strongly recommended for the best result and to keep the warranty valid
  • Aftercare: hand wash with a pH-neutral shampoo (pH 3 to 11). Avoid waxes, solvents, and petroleum-distillate products, and never use automatic washes, brushes, or high-pressure washers.

How TeckWrap compares

Not all film is the same

Cheap film won't last a season. Legacy brands charge a brand premium. TeckWrap sits in the middle: professional-grade film at an honest price.

The cheap way

Budget Film

Saves money up front, then bubbles, fades and cracks within a season.

Price per roll

$80 to $350 per roll. Cheap upfront, then you pay a shop to strip it.

Film construction

Monomeric calendered vinyl. Shrinks back off the edges within months.

Release liner

Paper liner. Curls in storage and telegraphs into the finish.

Adhesive system

Rubber based. Grabs on contact and leaves residue on removal.

Warranty and removal

None stated, or a term with nothing behind it.

Color and finish range

A short list of solids. Color drifts between production batches.

The smart way

Color and finish range

Over 220 colors in gloss, satin, matte, metallic, chrome, color shift.

Comparable construction, priced as if the badge were a material.
