Description

Velvet Blue stays blue. Most bright satin blues drift, purple indoors, cyan in sun, teal in the shadows, but this one holds a rich royal cobalt in every light. Direct sun lifts it into a vivid electric metallic blue, shade deepens it into something closer to a frozen BMW Individual blue, and through all of it the saturation never breaks. That consistency is what makes it read as a factory performance color rather than a wrap.

This is the ultra-saturated performance blue, the satin read on the colors Audi RS and BMW M Individual reserve for their launch cars. It tracks satin BMW Velvet Blue almost exactly, sits right with satin Porsche Shark Blue and Audi Ara Blue, and lands close to Jaguar Velocity Blue with a denser, more frozen finish. Cleaner and more monochromatic than Marina Bay, richer and deeper than the lighter cobalt blues.

It belongs on performance cars that want a loud, clean blue: an Audi RS3 and RS5, a BMW M2 and M3, a Volkswagen Golf R and GTI, a Porsche 911, a Subaru WRX, a Toyota GR Supra, a Honda Civic Type R, a Ford Focus RS, a Hyundai i30 N.

  • Apply at +17°C to +23°C
  • Service range: -35°C to +35°C
  • Tools: standard squeegee with soft (wet) buffer
  • Conformability: smooth and medium-curved surfaces, avoid overstretching
  • Directional film, check orientation before cutting
  • Overlap: 3–4 mm
  • Post-heat: 95°C
  • Cure: 24 hrs (48 hrs recommended)
  • Handle the satin chrome surface carefully; it can scratch during install
