Description

Vita70 was built around the skin on your hands and forearms, not just the temperature of the cabin.

Key attributes:

  • Visible light transmission (VLT): 70 ± 2%
  • Total solar energy rejected (TSER): 48 ± 2%
  • Infrared rejection (IRR): 85%
  • Ultraviolet rejection (UVR): over 99%
  • Internal visible light reflectance: 9%
  • 3 mil skin-care nano-ceramic, 8-year warranty

Long drives expose the driver's arms, hands and face to sustained solar radiation through the windshield. Vita70 rejects more than 99% of ultraviolet and 85% of infrared, and the ceramic construction adds filtering across the high energy visible blue band that ordinary heat films ignore.

The film is entirely non metallic, so it does not attenuate GPS, cellular, ETC, tyre pressure sensors or radio. Total solar energy rejection is 48% at 70% visible light transmission, and the 3 mil ceramic layer adds meaningful shatter resistance to the glass.

Windshield application is regulated in most markets, so confirm the legal VLT limit before purchase. Vita70 sits in the skin protection tier rather than the maximum heat rejection tier, and installers should position it accordingly for customers whose priority is UV exposure.

TeckWrap warrants this film for 8 years against bubbling, peeling, cracking, delamination and excessive colour change under normal use. In the event of a valid claim TeckWrap will replace the product or provide compensation at its sole discretion. This is the exclusive obligation of TeckWrap Inc.

The warranty does not cover normal wear, transportation, labour, consequential damages, improper installation, damage caused by abrasive or ammonia-based cleaning, or physical impact. Film applied to damaged, pitted or previously tinted glass is not covered.

Local laws on automotive window tint vary significantly by region and may restrict VLT on specific windows. The buyer is responsible for confirming legal compliance before installation. Screen images may vary from the physical product, refer to a physical sample. Use film from the same production lot across all windows on a vehicle to keep colour consistent.

How TeckWrap compares

Not all film is the same

Cheap film won't last a season. Legacy brands charge a brand premium. TeckWrap sits in the middle: professional-grade film at an honest price.

The cheap way

Budget Film

Saves money up front, then bubbles, fades and cracks within a season.

How it blocks heat

✕Dye absorbs light. The glass heats up and radiates inward.

Solar energy rejected

✕Around 35 to 45 percent, even on the darkest shade.

Infrared rejection

✕Low, and it falls further as the dye breaks down.

Signal interference

✕Metallized film blocks GPS, keyless entry, and radio reception.

Color stability

✕Turns purple, fades, and bubbles as the adhesive fails.

Warranty

✕A shop warranty that ends when the shop closes.

The smart way

TeckWrap Film

Professional-grade film at an honest price. Reversible, paint-safe, and color-shifting.

How it blocks heat

Rejects infrared instead of absorbing it, so the glass stays cooler.

Solar energy rejected

Up to 70 percent total solar energy rejected, stated per SKU.

Infrared rejection

Up to 93 percent infrared rejection, published on every product page.

Signal interference

Ceramic lines are non metallic. Phone, GPS and TPMS unaffected.

Color stability

Does not fade to purple. Color change is a covered warranty failure.

Warranty

Eight years, manufacturer backed. Five on the sputtered silver lines.

The legacy way

Legacy Brand Film

Comparable film, but you pay a brand premium.

How it blocks heat

–Ceramic or multilayer. Same method, at the legacy brand price.

Solar energy rejected

–High TSER across the range, with a matching price tag.

Infrared rejection

–High IRR. Check which band it was measured on.

Signal interference

–Ceramic lines are clear of it. Metallized lines are not.

Color stability

–Color stable across the warranty period, at a higher price.

Warranty

–Lifetime on paper. Read what the exclusions actually remove.

Window Film / Vita skin care FAQ

Find it by topic

Choosing & buying
Is it worth taking if I already want ceramic?

Often not. Zenith and Helios reject the same 99 percent of UV. Vita is the right answer when the customer names sun exposure as the reason for the job, for drivers who spend long hours behind glass, and for markets where that is how tint is sold.

Which shade for the driver's side?

Vita30 at 31 percent for most cars. It puts the protection on the glass your arm rests against, holds 53 percent total solar rejection, and stays legal in more places than a 15. Vita15 at 63 percent TSER is for rear glass and hot climates.

Installing
The film looks hazy and there are small bubbles. Is it faulty?

Almost never. That is mounting solution still evaporating through the film, and it clears on its own. Give it a few days in warm weather and up to a few weeks in cold. Cure time is 24 hours minimum above 15°C (59°F) before you touch it.

When can I roll the windows down?

Not for at least 24 hours, and longer in cold weather. Dropping a window before the adhesive has set drags the film edge down into the door and peels it. This is the single most common self inflicted failure on a fresh tint job.

Damage & durability
Will it turn purple or bubble in a few years?

Not on these constructions. Purple fade and bubbling are dyed film failures, where the dye breaks down and the adhesive goes with it. Sputtered metal and nano ceramic layers hold color and performance instead of drifting. Warranty periods run 5 to 8 years depending on the series.

Specs & performance
What does skin care actually mean on a window film?

Ultraviolet, and it is measurable. The film rejects more than 99 percent of UV, the wavelength range behind skin damage and interior fading. Side glass on most cars blocks very little of it, so the driver's right arm and the passenger's left take that exposure on every commute. That is the job this film is sold for.

Is that a real claim or marketing?

The UV figure is real, and it is the same 99 percent that every quality construction in this range holds. What Vita adds is a shade range built around that conversation, including 70 percent transmission for a windshield where a dark film is not legal. Do not stretch it into a health claim beyond UV.

Does it interfere with electronics?

The nano ceramic construction is non metallic, so defrosters, antennas and transponders are unaffected. Confirm against the current datasheet for the exact shade before quoting a car with aftermarket equipment.

Does darker mean cooler?

No, and this is the most expensive misunderstanding in tinting. Darkness is privacy and glare. Heat rejection is construction. Zenith70 at 75 percent visible light transmission still rejects 88 percent of infrared and 45 percent of total solar energy, while a cheap dark dyed film can reject far less heat than that while making the car harder to see out of. Buy the construction, then choose the shade.

Which number should I actually compare?

TSER, not IR rejection. Infrared rejection measures one slice of the spectrum and is the number films are marketed on because it reads highest. Total Solar Energy Rejected accounts for the whole solar load, which is what you feel. When a film advertises a huge IR number and never prints its TSER, that is the answer.

Why does internal reflectance matter?

Because you drive at night. High internal reflectance turns the inside of the glass into a mirror after dark and throws your own dashboard back at you. The side shades across this range hold internal reflectance to about 5 to 6 percent, which is low for the category and is a comfort figure nobody advertises.
