Description

A deep gloss black has a quality no other color has: you do not look at it, you look into it. We built True Black to go all the way down, a pure, mirror-deep black with no undertone and no shortcut, on a film that takes the rock chips so that depth stays unbroken and the paint underneath stays factory.

It is a pure, deep gloss black with a mirror finish, no blue, no brown and no purple cast, the truest and most reflective black in the range.

Gloss black is a staple vinyl wrap, and it is also True Black Color PPF. Vinyl delivers the black with a lighter commitment and the option to change later. True Black puts the black on a stone-chip armor layer, so the factory paint stays protected as the color goes on. The difference comes down to whether you want the black doing the protecting as well.

Warranty

5-year TeckWrap warranty against yellowing, cracking, peeling, delamination, and material defects. Improper installation, physical impact damage, and scratches beyond the self-healing range are not covered.

Application
  • Apply at +17°C to +23°C
  • Service range: -40°C to +50°C
  • Dry-install system, no wet solution required (air-release channels handle film placement)
  • Tools: squeegee with soft buffer, heat gun, knife, microfiber cloth
  • Repositionable during installation due to to low-tack PSA
  • Conformability: complex curves, hoods, fenders, bumpers, mirrors, full body panels
  • Post-heat: activate adhesive after final positioning
  • Cure: 24–48 hours for full adhesion
  • Use same production batch for full vehicle, label and store leftovers by batch code
  • Avoid waxing or pressure-washing for the first 7 days
  • Surface must be thoroughly cleaned and decontaminated before installation
