Have never seen black like this. At first glance, dark, mysterious, and understated. Then the sun hits it, and everything changes. Red, orange, gold, green, blue, purple, all exploding. across every curve.

Thank you for the feedback! It came out great!

We did it on a cybertruck. It was such a cool color, probably has to be my favorite color we have wrapped, reminds me alot of a rainbow trout and I love the color shifting aspect of it.

Rainbow vortex: Absolutely loved the product. Shipping was a little slower than fellers but was great to work with.

Description

Most color-shift wraps show their whole hand at once, one color washing into the next across the entire panel. Rainbow Vortex holds back. It sits almost black until the light finds an angle, then breaks into red, gold, or violet one panel at a time.

Key Attributes

  • Seven colors, one black base: red, orange, gold, green, blue, violet, and purple all surface from the same underlying pigment, not seven separate tints layered on top of black
  • Full-spectrum gloss: polymeric multilayered hybrid film creates a deep reflective surface that carries the rainbow effect cleanly across body lines.
  • Clean Installation: built-in air release channels give trapped air a path out during installation, helping larger sections settle evenly.
  • Weatherproof hold: Henkel solvent acrylic adhesive holds through changing outdoor conditions for dependable exterior use.
  • Curves need a light hand: overstretching around a panel edge thins the shift; installed within spec, the full spectrum holds all the way to the seam.
  • Comes off clean: the adhesive heat-releases without leaving residue or damaging the clear coat.

Rainbow Vortex plays a trick on the eye. From a distance, the surface can read almost black, with only traces of violet and blue breaking through. Get closer, and the finish opens into separate bands of red, orange, gold, green, blue, violet, and purple. Long body lines can carry several colors at once, while adjacent panels may reveal completely different parts of the spectrum. It feels less like one color changing into another and more like a prism moving across the car. Unlike a conventional two- or three-color chameleon, Rainbow Vortex opens into a much broader spectrum.

Warranty

Built for long-term outdoor use, with up to 3 years of durability on vertical panels and around 2 years across a full wrap, depending on climate zone. Horizontal surfaces such as roofs, hoods, and bonnets take the most sun and weather and carry a shorter expected life. The warranty covers manufacturing defects such as bubbling, cracking, and adhesive failure when the film is properly stored, professionally installed, and maintained per the care guidance. It does not cover abrasion, scratches, gloss change, or normal wear. Heat-removable within 2 years for the cleanest removal, with minimal adhesive residue.

Application

  • Surface: apply only to a clean, sound, fully cured OEM factory finish. Repainted, primed, aftermarket, or damaged surfaces can affect adhesion and removal and fall outside warranty coverage.
  • Apply at +17°C to +23°C
  • Tools: squeegee, buffer, knife, masking tape, heat gun, magnets, gloves, IR thermometer, IR heater
  • Conformability: smooth and medium-curved surfaces
  • Post-heat: 100°C
  • Cure: 24 hrs above 10°C (48 hrs at room temperature recommended)
  • Overlap: 3 to 4 mm
  • Directional film. The color-shift effect orients with the film, so keep orientation consistent across all panels and use one production LOT per vehicle to avoid a mismatched shift between panels.
  • Avoid overstretching during application, which can distort the color-shift pigment
  • Remove the protective cap before installing
  • Professional installation strongly recommended for the best result and to keep the warranty valid
  • Aftercare: hand wash with a pH-neutral shampoo (pH 3 to 11). Avoid waxes, solvents, and petroleum-distillate products, and never use automatic washes, brushes, or high-pressure washers.

Disclaimer

All TeckWrap statements, technical information, and recommendations are based on tests believed to be reliable but do not constitute a guarantee or warranty. All products are sold with the understanding that the buyer has independently determined the suitability of the products for their purpose.

TeckWrap products are warranted to be free of defects in material for the period of shelf life. In case of defects, TeckWrap will replace the product or compensate at its sole discretion. This is the exclusive obligation of TeckWrap Inc.

Warranty does not cover normal wear, transportation, labor, or consequential damages. Coverage requires proper storage, professional installation, and maintenance in line with TeckWrap's care guidance, and does not apply to films installed on non-OEM, repainted, or damaged surfaces. If you notice cracking, lifting, edge failure, or other defects, contact your installer promptly for assessment.

Color-shift films change apparent color with viewing angle, lighting, and surroundings, and the direction of the shift follows the film orientation. This is the defining characteristic of a color-shift film and is not a defect.

Removal from aged, repainted, or poorly bonded factory paint may lift paint or clear coat. TeckWrap is not responsible for the condition of the underlying paint upon removal.

Screen images may vary, refer to physical color swatches. Use the same production LOT for color consistency. Scratches during application or daily use are not covered.

How TeckWrap compares

Not all film is the same

Cheap film won't last a season. Legacy brands charge a brand premium. TeckWrap sits in the middle: professional-grade film at an honest price.

The cheap way

Budget Film

Saves money up front, then bubbles, fades and cracks within a season.

Price per roll

$80 to $350 per roll. Cheap upfront, then you pay a shop to strip it.

Film construction

Monomeric calendered vinyl. Shrinks back off the edges within months.

Release liner

Paper liner. Curls in storage and telegraphs into the finish.

Adhesive system

Rubber based. Grabs on contact and leaves residue on removal.
