Description

TeckWrap Deep Black is a true flat black with a super matte finish. A lot of so-called matte blacks come out closer to satin, with a faint sheen left in them. This one stays properly flat, a clean and even black with no shine to it.

Key Attributes

  • True flat black: a deep, neutral black with no brown or blue cast, just an even tone across the whole car.
  • No shine, no grain, no shift: a full matte surface that looks the same in any light, without the texture of a sandy black or the sparkle of a metallic.
  • Dependable adhesive: the same Henkel solvent acrylic used across the range, clear, weather resistant, and made to stay put once it is down.
  • Peels off later: warm it up and it lifts away cleanly, without marking the paint or leaving glue behind.
  • Handles curves and edges: flexible enough to pull around bumpers, mirrors, and body lines, with air-release channels to keep it flat while you work.

Deep Black reads as the same flat, even black in bright sun, in shade, or under streetlights, with no reflections to break it up and no grain to catch the eye. It plays down the shape of a panel and lets the lines of the car do the talking. The flat surface does show fingerprints and water spots more than a gloss, so it rewards a clean wash, but the payoff is a deep, uniform black that gloss cannot give you.

OEM Match

  • Closest to a true solid matte black like Lamborghini Nero Opaco, with no metallic in it.
  • The flat, non-metallic version of BMW Individual Frozen Black, which carries a slight metallic shimmer.
  • The same stealth look as the Mercedes Magno black seen on the AMG G-Class.
  • A factory matte look that normally costs thousands as a special order, here on any car.

Matte black is the most popular wrap color there is, and Deep Black is the no-frills version of it: a clean, flat black that works on almost any car, truck, or SUV. If you ever want to go back, it lifts off without touching the paint underneath.

Warranty

  • Super matte is a delicate finish and needs more care than gloss or satin. With proper care and a matte-safe ceramic coating, expect up to 3 years of outdoor durability on vertical panels and around 2 year across a full wrap, depending on climate zone. Parking indoors or under cover extends the finish. Heat-removable within 2 years for the cleanest removal, with minimal adhesive residue.

Application
  • Surface: apply only to a clean, sound, fully cured OEM factory finish. Repainted, primed, aftermarket, or damaged surfaces can affect adhesion and removal and fall outside warranty coverage.
  • Application temperature: +17°C to +23°C
  • Tools: standard squeegee with a soft buffer
  • Conformability: smooth and medium-curved surfaces
  • Non-directional film.
  • Overlap: 3 to 4 mm
  • Avoid overstretching during application
  • Avoid over-buffing and hard squeegee pressure, which can burnish a matte surface to a shine
  • Post-heat: 75°C
  • Remove the protective cap before installing
  • Professional installation is strongly recommended for the best results and to keep the warranty valid
  • Aftercare: hand washes with a matte-safe, pH-neutral shampoo (pH 3 to 11). Avoid waxes, polishes, gloss enhancers, solvents, and petroleum-distillate products, and never use automatic washes, brushes, or high-pressure washers.

  • Aftermarket waxes, sealants, and ceramic coatings are applied at the owner's discretion. Damage caused by aftermarket products is not covered.
  • Screen images may vary; refer to physical color swatches. Use the same production LOT for color consistency. Scratches during application or daily use are not covered.
