Description

TeckWrap SMT18R Velour Red is a satin metallic vinyl wrap with an extremely dark base tone, muted satin reflections, transparent ruby highlights, and a very smooth metallic transition. Under low light it reads almost black cherry. Under direct light it opens into deep molten crimson. This duality is exactly what modern OEM luxury paints aim for, and it lands this red in liquid metal red territory rather than traditional sporty red. Forged, oxidized, industrial-luxury, almost molten metal in character.

Where VCH422-S Sangria Red feels wine and jewelry-inspired, SMT18R Velour Red feels industrial-performance luxury. Darker, more mature, more stealth, more satin-metallic than classic Mazda Soul Red, and very aligned with where luxury EV and performance paint design is moving. Best on performance grand tourers and executive sport builds: Audi RS7 and RS6, Porsche Taycan and Panamera, BMW XM and M8, Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe and S-Class Coupe, Cadillac Celestiq, Lexus LC500, Aston Martin DB12, Maserati MC20, Genesis G90.

  • Storage shelf life: 3 years at +10°C to +20°C, 50% RH, dry conditions, away from sunlight

Standard TeckWrap limited warranty. Scratches not covered. Use same production LOT for color consistency across panels.

Application
  • Apply at +17°C to +23°C
  • Service range: -45°C to +45°C
  • Standard squeegee with soft (wet) buffer
  • Conformability: smooth and medium-curved surfaces
  • Post-heat: 65°C
  • Cure: 24 hrs (48 hrs recommended)
  • Overlap: 3–4 mm
  • Directional film, check orientation before cutting
  • Remove protective cap before install
