Material handles well and is very manipulative, holds and hugs edges with confidence and post heats comfortably. Air bubbles relief without any fuss, making the install manageable. Definitely easier with two sets of hands but an experienced installer can manage just fine. Teckwrap is one of our best selling materials in our shop.

The film was easy to work with. We installed it on a Maserati Levante. It had no issues holding after proper post heating on the many small pieces this vehicle has.
The finish looked beautiful when the sunlight hit it. The film has a nice satin finish that almost looks gloss with how silky it looked.

honestly I love this one. The backing paper being that plastic and not paper is so much better and on top of that the glue is a lot easier to work with. It’s not as tacky as it used to be, which is perfect as well as the color itself looks a little bit more vibrant than the last one soI can’t say anything bad about this cherry blossom color. Everything turned out perfect as you can see in the picture and my client loved the car.

Cherry blossoms only last about two weeks before they drop, and TeckWrap's Cherry Blossom Pink borrows that same fleeting, delicate quality. It's a pale blush pink with a fine metallic pearl underneath and a satin top coat that keeps everything soft rather than glossy or bright.
Under bright, cool lighting such as garage LEDs, it leans slightly lavender and powdery. Move it into natural daylight and it warms just a touch, picking up a faint peach undertone with a gentle pearl shimmer catching across the hood and fenders.

Choosing & buying
Is this calendered film, and does that make it a budget product?
Calendered, and no. Cast and calendered are two ways of making vinyl, not two quality grades. Cast is thinner and bends further, which suits deep recesses. Calendered is thicker, so it takes stone chips, brushes and door dings, and it covers the paint underneath instead of showing it through.
Cast is rated for ten years. Why buy anything else?
Because almost nobody keeps a wrap for ten years. Color changes, resales and fleet rotations take wraps off cars at three to five. You would be paying for years five through ten on a thinner film that takes more damage in the years you actually use it. If you genuinely keep a car a decade, buy the longer rated film. Most people do not.
Does a wrap protect my paint?
It covers it. UV, road film and light surface contact, yes. Stone chips and impact, no. That is paint protection film, a different product at a different thickness and price. Plenty of owners run PPF on the nose and vinyl over everything else.
Do I have to buy all the film at once?
Yes, and from one batch. Pigment and flake shift slightly between production runs. Two rolls of the same color bought months apart can read as two colors on neighboring panels in daylight. Order the whole job plus about 20 percent.
Look & colour
Why does the film look different from the sample?
Because a sample is flat, small and indoors. Color on a car reads across curves, at angles, in daylight that moves all day. Metallics shift the most, matte the least. Hold the largest sample you can get against the car outside before you commit.
Installing
Is satin harder to install than gloss?
Not to stretch. Far less forgiving to touch. Gloss lets you rework a section and move on, satin remembers everything you did to the surface. Post heat at 80 to 95°C (176 to 203°F), and put your newest installer on gloss.
My last wrap lifted at the edges. Was the film bad?
Almost certainly not. Lifting edges mean the film was never post heated, or never got hot enough. Post heating erases the film's memory and locks it into its new shape. Skip it and the film spends the next year trying to go back to being a flat roll.
Can I wrap over a respray?
Only if it is fully cured and sound. Fresh paint outgasses for weeks and you get bubbles. Weak or previously repaired paint can lift on removal. The film does not cause that. It finds it.
Care & cleaning
Can I ceramic coat satin?
Only with a matte and satin specific coating. A standard gloss coating fills the surface structure and lifts the sheen, so you end up with a blotchy semi gloss panel, permanently. Read the technical sheet, not the bottle.
Will an automatic car wash ruin it?
Brush washes will, and the damage stacks. Brushes drag grit, lift edges, and polish permanent shiny patches into satin and matte. Touchless is fine, hand washing is better. Keep a pressure washer 16 inches back and off the edges.

Satin scatters light through a fine surface structure. Press it or rub it and that structure flattens, so the patch reflects instead. That is burnishing, and it is the reason satin panels get redone.
Can a burnished patch be fixed?
No. The structure is crushed and heat will not raise it. Plan around it instead. Soft buffers, replaced the moment they wear, low pressure, long strokes, and never dry wipe a satin panel mid install.
Will satin go shiny on the door handles?
In high contact areas, gradually, yes. Handle cups, the driver's door edge, the trunk lip. That is wear, not a defect. Leaving handle cups unwrapped, or doing them in gloss, takes the most visible case off the table.
Can a scratch be polished out?
No. There is no clear coat to cut back, so polishing removes the top coat and leaves a permanently dull patch. PRO+ films with the self healing top coat close light swirls with gentle heat. Anything deeper means a new panel.
