Description

Silk Ash is a brushed aluminum satin silver grey that does more than change your color. The finish is built into a protective film, so the same satin surface you see is the layer guarding your factory paint against chips and road wear.

Key Attributes

  • Satin Metallic Finish: A fine flake sits in a soft satin surface, so the grey stays smooth and controlled instead of shiny or dull.
  • Protective TPU Film: The film absorbs stone chips, road grit, and everyday wear before they reach the factory paint.
  • Self-Healing Top Coat: Light swirls and wash marks recover with sun or gentle heat, keeping the satin even across the body.
  • Hydrophobic Surface: Water and road spray release easily, and a separate ceramic coat is no longer needed.
  • Repositionable Adhesive: Low initial tack gives installers time to align the film before it sets.

Silk Ash reads like machined aluminum on a grey day, cool and precise. Under direct sun the flake warms up and gives the panel a soft liquid metal glow. It stays in the middle of the grey scale, never sliding toward silver sparkle or heavy charcoal, and the satin surface spreads reflections into broad, quiet planes rather than sharp highlights.

OEM Match

  • Close to Audi Nardo Grey: Silk Ash keeps the same flat, industrial grey direction but adds a fine metallic flake for extra depth.
  • Warmer than BMW Frozen Brilliant Grey: It softens the cooler, more clinical tone of that reference with a hint of warmth in the flake.

If you like the restraint of a factory satin grey but want a metallic lift to it, Silk Ash suits performance sedans, design led EVs, and luxury SUVs whose owners want presence without gloss.

Warranty

5-year TeckWrap warranty against yellowing, cracking, peeling, delamination, and material defects. Improper installation, physical impact damage, and scratches beyond the self-healing range are not covered.

  • Apply at +17°C to +23°C

  • Dry-install system, no wet solution required (air-release channels handle film placement)
  • Tools: squeegee with soft buffer, heat gun, knife, microfiber cloth
  • Repositionable during installation due to to low-tack PSA
  • Conformability: complex curves, hoods, fenders, bumpers, mirrors, full body panels
  • Post-heat: activate adhesive after final positioning
  • Cure: 24–48 hours for full adhesion
  • Use same production batch for full vehicle, label and store leftovers by batch code
  • Avoid waxing or pressure-washing for the first 7 days
  • Surface must be thoroughly cleaned and decontaminated before installation
