How TeckWrap Collects SMS Consent

At TeckWrap, we collect SMS consent from our customers transparently and in compliance with US carrier regulations (A2P 10DLC) and applicable privacy laws. This page documents our consent process for customers, carrier reviewers, and partner agencies.

Where consent is collected

SMS consent is collected at the checkout on teckwrap.com when customers complete a purchase. The checkout page presents two separate, optional consent checkboxes that customers can independently choose to accept or decline:

  1. Marketing SMS Consent — for promotional messages, new product launches, and special offers
  2. Transactional/Service SMS Consent — for order updates, shipping notifications, color consultations, and customer service follow-up

Both checkboxes are unchecked by default and independent of each other. Customers can opt in to one, both, or neither. Neither consent is required to complete a purchase.

What customers see at checkout

After providing their delivery address and phone number, customers see two checkboxes followed by a shared compliance disclosure with clickable links to our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Marketing SMS Checkbox

By checking this box, I agree to receive recurring marketing text messages from TeckWrap — promotions, new product launches, special offers. (optional)

When the customer ticks this box, an additional Mobile phone number field appears so they can provide a phone number specifically for marketing messages, if different from the delivery phone number.

Transactional/Service SMS Checkbox

By checking this box, I agree to receive order and service text messages from TeckWrap — order updates, shipping notifications, customer service follow-up. (optional)

Shared compliance disclosure

Displayed below both checkboxes, always visible:

"Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Privacy Policy & Terms of Service."

How consent is stored

When a customer ticks either box and completes their order, the consent is securely recorded on the customer's profile and tied to the phone number provided at checkout. Each consent is stored separately so the two channels remain independent. Consent records are retrievable, auditable, and only used for the channel the customer specifically agreed to.

How customers can opt out

Customers can opt out of either or both SMS channels at any time by:

Once a customer opts out via STOP, no further SMS will be sent from the channel they opted out of. Opting out of one channel (e.g., marketing) does not automatically opt them out of the other (e.g., transactional), in keeping with separated-consent best practice.

How customers can request information about their consent

Customers can request access to or deletion of their stored consent records at any time by contacting crm@teckwrap.com. We will respond in accordance with applicable privacy laws (including TCPA, CCPA, and GDPR where relevant).
