Description

TeckWrap Lizard Grey is a grey with a subtle green cast, finished in super matte. It is not a flat, neutral grey; the soft green in it gives the color more character while still reading as a grey.

Key Attributes

  • Grey with a green cast: a muted grey that leans gently green, closer to sage than to a plain neutral grey.
  • Low-sheen flat finish: a full matte surface with no shine, which keeps the green quiet and the whole look soft.
  • Solvent acrylic bond: Henkel solvent acrylic adhesive, clear and weather resistant, that grips well and stays put once it is down.
  • Lifts off later: releases with heat when you are ready for a change, with no residue and no harm to the paint.
  • Stretches to fit: conforms around curves and edges, with up to about 30% stretch under heat to pull over mirrors and recessed panels.

This is the part that makes Lizard Grey worth a look. Depending on the light, it can read as a straight grey or show its green side. In flat or overcast light it sits closer to a neutral grey, and in sun, or next to greenery, the sage cast comes forward. Because the finish is fully matte, none of this turns into shine or reflection, so the color stays soft and a little understated either way. It is a grey for people who find plain grey boring.

OEM Match

  • Closest to Toyota Lunar Rock, the grey-green seen on the 4Runner and Tacoma
  • Greener than Audi Nardo Grey
  • Darker and greener than Toyota Cement
  • Greyer than a true olive or military green

Grey is a safe color, and the green cast is what keeps Lizard Grey from blending in with every other grey car. It looks especially good on trucks and SUVs, the 4Runner included, and it comes off cleanly later if you want a change.

Warranty

  • Super matte is a delicate finish and needs more care than gloss or satin. With proper care and a matte-safe ceramic coating, expect up to 3 years of outdoor durability on vertical panels and around 2 year across a full wrap, depending on climate zone. Parking indoors or under cover extends the finish. Heat-removable within 2 years for the cleanest removal, with minimal adhesive residue.

Application

  • Surface: apply only to a clean, sound, fully cured OEM factory finish. Repainted, primed, aftermarket, or damaged surfaces can affect adhesion and removal and fall outside warranty coverage.
  • Application temperature: +17°C to +23°C
  • Tools: standard squeegee with a soft buffer
  • Conformability: smooth and medium-curved surfaces
  • Non-directional film.
  • Overlap: 3 to 4 mm
  • Avoid overstretching during application
  • Avoid over-buffing and hard squeegee pressure, which can burnish a matte surface to a shine
  • Post-heat: 75°C
  • Remove the protective cap before installing
  • Professional installation is strongly recommended for the best results and to keep the warranty valid
  • Aftercare: hand washes with a matte-safe, pH-neutral shampoo (pH 3 to 11). Avoid waxes, polishes, gloss enhancers, solvents, and petroleum-distillate products, and never use automatic washes, brushes, or high-pressure washers.

All products are sold with the understanding that the buyer has independently determined the suitability of the products for their purpose.
  • TeckWrap products are warranted to be free of defects in materials for the shelf life period. In case of defects, TeckWrap will replace the product or compensate at its sole discretion. This is the exclusive obligation of TeckWrap Inc.

If you notice cracking, lifting, edge failure, or other defects, contact your installer promptly for assessment.
  • Matte and super matte finishes can burnish to a shine if rubbed, scrubbed, or polished, and show fingerprints, water spots, and contaminant staining more readily than gloss. These are normal characteristics of a matte finish and are not covered.
  • Removal from aged, repainted, or poorly bonded factory paint may lift paint or clear coat. TeckWrap is not responsible for the condition of the underlying paint upon removal.
  • Aftermarket waxes, sealants, and ceramic coatings are applied at the owner's discretion. Damage caused by aftermarket products is not covered.
  • Screen images may vary; refer to physical color swatches. Use the same production LOT for color consistency. Scratches during application or daily use are not covered.
