Description

Most headlight tint makes you trade night vision for the look. TeckWrap Spectra does not. 54% light transmission darkens the lens while your low beams keep doing their job, and the 330 micron TPU build underneath means the film is protecting the lens, not just shading it.

Key attributes:

  • Usable smoke, 54% VLT: 54% ±3% light transmission darkens the lens visibly in daylight and keeps the beam sharp on dark roads.
  • Real protection thickness: 330 ±10 μm total build with a 210 ±5 μm application layer (8.27 ±0.2 mil) that absorbs rocks and road debris without cracking.
  • Self-healing TPU: heat-repair coating erases light scratches and wash swirl as the film warms.
  • Grip that stays down: ≈2200 g/inch peel adhesion resists edge lifting on deep housings and peels away residue-free when you change styles.
  • Optical clarity held: ≈99% UV resistance with ≈1.5% haze and ≈90 GU gloss at 60°, so there is no beam diffusion and no yellowing creeping in after a season.
  • Stretch without tearing: ≈350% product elongation and ≈110% coating elongation conform to tight European and Asian housings, ≈18 MPa tensile strength and 100°C temperature resistance handle the rest.

Spectra is the daily driver shade. In daylight the lens reads dark and finished against the bodywork, and at night you still get a clean, focused beam instead of the muddy spread cheap film produces. It is the shade to run when the car actually gets driven after dark and you are not willing to trade safety for a look. If you want the deeper blacked-out lens for a show car or for taillights, step down to Lumex THL30 at 30% VLT.

Tint on forward-facing lights is regulated in most states and countries, so confirm your local rules before installing on headlights. The film goes on wet for precise positioning and the PET liner holds it flat under tension for a bubble-free finish.

Order Spectra and stop choosing between the look and the road ahead.

How TeckWrap compares

Not all film is the same

Cheap film won't last a season. Legacy brands charge a brand premium. TeckWrap sits in the middle: professional-grade film at an honest price.

The cheap way

Budget Film

Saves money up front, then bubbles, fades and cracks within a season.

What it is made of

PVC tint film. Adds color and nothing else.

Lens safety on removal

Aggressive adhesive can lift the polycarbonate hard coat on removal.

Stretch and conformability

Tears on compound curves and lifts at the edges.

Yellowing and UV stability

Fades patchy. The lens ends up worse than untinted.

Light output and clarity

Hazy. Scatters the beam and cuts usable night vision.

The smart way

TeckWrap Film

Professional-grade film at an honest price. Reversible, paint-safe, and color-shifting.

What it is made of

TPU based, so it tints and takes stone chip.

Lens safety on removal

Heat removable and lens safe, with minimal residue.

Stretch and conformability

Stretches over modern lens shapes in one piece.

Yellowing and UV stability

Holds the shade without ambering over time.

Light output and clarity

Optically clear, beam pattern stays defined.

Order a Sample

See the finish in person before you commit.

The legacy way

Legacy Brand Film

Comparable film, but you pay a brand premium.

What it is made of

TPU protective tint. Comparable material at a legacy brand price.

Lens safety on removal

Lens safe removal, at the higher price.

Stretch and conformability

High elongation TPU, comparable install behavior.

Yellowing and UV stability

UV stable across the warranty period.

Light output and clarity

Optically clear across the available shade range.
