Description

Most bright satin blues can't commit to one shade, purple under indoor light, cyan in full sun, teal in the shadows. Velvet Blue doesn't drift. It holds a true royal cobalt in every light, from a garage to full midday sun.

Key Attributes

  • Color that holds its line: stays a saturated royal cobalt across shade, overcast, and direct sun, with no slide toward purple or teal
  • Satin-over-metalized base: a fine silver coating beneath the color gives the blue real depth and a soft metallic glow, without going full mirror
  • Clean chemistry: Henkel solvent-based acrylic adhesive, transparent and weather-resistant, removes residue-free
  • Smooth lay-down: high-grade release liner keeps the film tension-flat, reducing orange-peel texture during install
  • Heat-conformable: wraps around mirrors, bumpers, and moderate curves
  • Paint-safe: removable adhesive protects the factory finish underneath

In the shade, Velvet Blue settles into a deep, almost frozen cobalt with a quiet metallic glow underneath. Move it into direct sun and the same panel lifts into a vivid, electric blue without ever tipping into purple or washing out to cyan. Because the color sits over a thin silver base rather than a flat pigment layer, it holds a consistency other bright blues lose the moment the light changes, closer to a factory performance-car blue than a typical aftermarket wrap color.

OEM Match

  • Closest to BMW Individual Velvet Blue
  • Same performance-blue family as Audi Ara Blue and Porsche Shark Blue
  • More saturated than Jaguar Velocity Blue
  • Deeper than a standard aftermarket cobalt blue

That factory performance-blue look that Audi, Porsche, and BMW save for their hottest trims now fits a WRX, Civic Type R, Golf GTI, or GR Supra just as easily as an RS3, 911, or M3.
