Description

Flat greys can make a performance car look unfinished, almost like it's waiting for paint. TeckWrap High Gloss Dim Grey gives industrial grey the polished, factory-built character that keeps every crease sharp instead of washed out.

Key Attributes

  • Sharper on the move: fine metallic pigment creates clean, crisp reflections that define every body line.
  • Self-healing top coat: mild heat helps light swirls and fine scratches fade, keeping the gloss looking fresh over time.
  • Zero trapped air: air-release channels guide trapped air toward the edges for a smoother finish across large panels.
  • Heat-formable fit: polymeric multilayered hybrid film wraps around curves, mirrors, and door handles without clouding or thinning out.
  • Weatherproof hold: transparent Henkel solvent acrylic adhesive holds firmly through changing weather.
  • Paint-safe removal: removable adhesive lifts away without residue,  preserving the factory finish underneath.

Dim Grey takes its cues from precision engineering rather than bright metallic paint. In direct sunlight, it leans toward warm silver, while overcast skies bring out a smooth graphite tone that feels clean and understated. The high-gloss surface keeps reflections flowing across the bodywork, giving every contour more definition. Generic grey wraps flatten into primer under these conditions. Dim Grey holds its structure regardless of the sky.

OEM Match

  • Closest to Audi Nardo Grey (RS3 / RS6 / RS7).
  • Same saturation as Porsche Chalk (911 / Cayman / Taycan).
  • Lighter than BMW Brooklyn Grey (M2 / M3 / M4).
  • Deeper than Mercedes-Benz MANUFAKTUR Alpine Grey

Audi made industrial grey famous. Dim Grey lets you bring that same motorsport-inspired look to the project already in your garage.

How TeckWrap compares

Not all film is the same

Cheap film won't last a season. Legacy brands charge a brand premium. TeckWrap sits in the middle: professional-grade film at an honest price.

The cheap way

Budget Film

Saves money up front, then bubbles, fades and cracks within a season.

Price per roll

$80 to $350 per roll. Cheap upfront, then you pay a shop to strip it.

Film construction

Monomeric calendered vinyl. Shrinks back off the edges within months.

Release liner

Paper liner. Curls in storage and telegraphs into the finish.

Adhesive system

Rubber based. Grabs on contact and leaves residue on removal.

Warranty and removal

None stated, or a term with nothing behind it.

Color and finish range

A short list of solids. Color drifts between production batches.

The smart way

TeckWrap Film

Professional-grade film at an honest price. Reversible, paint-safe, and color-shifting.

Price per roll

3 years vertical, rated by climate zone and panel. Claims paid.

Color and finish range

Over 220 colors in gloss, satin, matte, metallic, chrome, color shift.

Film construction

Comparable construction, priced as if the badge were a material.

Release liner

Same plastic liner standard, at roughly double the roll price.

Adhesive system

Same acrylic chemistry class, with a brand premium on top.

Warranty and removal

Long headline term. Read the exclusion list before you trust it.

Color and finish range

Solid core range, thin on color shift and specialty finishes.
