Description

Most chrome golds go harsh, too yellow, or foil-cheap. TeckWrap's Solar Gold doesn't. It holds a warm champagne-amber mirror that reads molten and dense rather than flashy.

Solar Gold runs warmer and deeper than the usual chrome gold, more champagne and amber than yellow, with soft bronze in the shadows and a mirror surface that pours like liquid metal instead of flashing like foil. It doesn't chase a production paint color, it lives in the world of bespoke gold commissions and concept-car palettes, the molten-metal look you see on hypercars and VIP show builds rather than anything off a factory line. Like every true chrome it trades stretch for shine, so it belongs on roofs, accent panels, and detail work rather than a full body. On the right car it reads like a luxury-watch coating.

  • Service range: -30°C to +30°C
  • 180° peel strength: 10.66 N/25mm (standard ≥6.8)

  • Adhesion: 70, no shifting (standard ≥60)
  • Aging tested +65°C and -65°C: minimum adhesive residue
  • Storage: 1 year at +10°C to +20°C, 50% RH, in original package, away from direct sunlight

Warranty

  • Standard TeckWrap limited warranty for chrome film. Scratches, micro-marks, and metalized-layer distortion from overstretching, overheating, or crumpling are characteristic of chrome material and not covered. Use the same production LOT for color consistency across panels.

Application
  • Apply at +17°C to +23°C
  • Standard squeegee with soft buffer
  • A steam vacuum or IR heater is recommended for controlled heating
  • Conformability: smooth and moderately curved surfaces only
  • Limited stretchability, avoid overstretching, crumpling, or aggressive repositioning
  • Overheating permanently distorts the metalized layer
  • Designed for partial wraps, accents, decals, and detailing
  • Not recommended for full vehicle wraps
  • Remove the protective cap before installing
  • Professional installation strongly recommended
