Description

Space Blue looks almost black until the light finds it. It's a deep sapphire metallic that reads as a dark, premium color first and a blue second, with ultra-fine aluminum flake and a hidden cyan-teal undertone that only shows under strong light. The shift is what makes it: near-black in shadow, rich sapphire in daylight, vivid electric cobalt under direct reflections, and subtle teal-ocean tones when warm light catches it. It lives in the space between deep sapphire, petroleum blue, and midnight ocean, never resolving to a plain bright blue.

This is one of TeckWrap's most premium-feeling blues, the kind of deep metallic that passes for black until the sun opens it into sapphire and cobalt. That hidden teal underneath is exactly what separates an expensive OEM-style blue from a flat dark wrap. It gives the color depth and motion instead of a single static tone, which is why it carries so well on cars meant to look serious: a BMW M3 or M5, an Audi A6 or RS6, a Porsche 911 or Panamera, the Mercedes EQS, a Lexus LS, a Genesis G70, or a deep-metallic EV.

Closest on OEM is BMW Individual Azurite Black and Tanzanite Blue II, matching both the depth and the black-to-blue transition. Bugatti Nocturne Blue shares the luxury mood, and Ford Antimatter Blue is a very close base tone with Space Blue running a little brighter. Audi Navarra and Porsche Night Blue sit close on the sapphire side.

Warranty

  • Built for long-term outdoor use, up to 3 years outdoor durability on vertical panels and around 2 years across a full wrap, depending on climate zone. Heat-removable, with minimal adhesive residue when removed within the recommended three years.

Application
  • Apply at +17°C to +23°C
  • Tools: soft squeegee with buffer, knife, masking tape, heat gun, magnets, gloves, IR thermometer, IR heater
  • Directional film. Orient all panels in the same direction for a consistent metallic flake appearance
  • Conformability: flat, curved, and recessed surfaces (do not overstretch)
  • Post-heat: 100°C flat surfaces, 120°C curves and overlaps
  • Cure time: 24 hours above 15°C; 48 hours at room temperature recommended for maximum adhesive activation
  • A steam vacuum or an IR heater is recommended for installation
  • Remove the protective cap before installing
  • Aftercare: pH-neutral products only, avoid hot wax or strong solvents
