Use this color in a Nissan GTR

Use this color in a Nissan GTR, the vinyl finish is very good, it has an intense brightness, easy to work with at the time of installation thanks to low initial tack. I really liked working with this adhesive!!

Thank you, Mathias! We’re glad Crazy Grape delivered intense shine on the Nissan GT-R and was easy to handle during installation. We appreciate you sharing your experience with the film!

Calenderd films are really nice if you understand how to install them and how to take care of them. The gloss is superior and it’s something you simply can’t achieve with cast vinyl. The color shift effect is beautiful. Definitely one of my favorites.

The material was easy to use just have to watch the crazy body lines and feed them. I had it done in a 15 hour shift by myself.
Material has a super nice color flip effect , clarity is great, install was great as well!

Description

Purple-to-green color shifts usually settle on one winner, letting the other fade into memory. TeckWrap’s Crazy Grape breaks that pattern, bringing blue, green, and gold into the mix as the viewing angle changes.

Key Attributes

  • Color with a wild side: deep grape purple shifts through royal violet, blue, green, and subtle gold, giving the finish a wider color range.
  • Gloss with depth: polymeric multilayered hybrid film creates a high-gloss surface that keeps reflections sharp across curves and body lines.
  • Air finds a way out: built-in air-release channels let trapped air escape so the panels lay down smooth.
  • Adhesive for the long haul: Henkel solvent acrylic adhesive provides weatherproof hold for outdoor use through changing conditions.
  • Curves keep their color: heat-conformable film follows mirrors, edges, bumpers, and moderate curves while maintaining the color-shift effect.
  • Comes off without a fight: removable adhesive comes away cleanly without residue, helping preserve the factory finish.

Crazy Grape starts with a deep grape-purple base touched by blue and plum. Change the angle and royal violet begins to surface, followed by flashes of emerald green and subtle gold. Direct sunlight makes these tones brighter. Generic color-shift films treat gold as an afterthought, a faint sparkle buried under the main color. Here it shows up as an actual seam, the visible line where violet is finishing its handoff to green.

Porsche and Lamborghini each committed their factory palette to one shade at a time, purple or green, never both from the same panel. Crazy Grape runs the full range, gold flash included, on any car that never got the option.

Warranty

Built for long-term outdoor use, with up to 3 years of durability on vertical panels and around 2 years across a full wrap, depending on climate zone. Horizontal surfaces such as roofs, hoods, and bonnets take the most sun and weather and carry a shorter expected life. The warranty covers manufacturing defects such as bubbling, cracking, and adhesive failure when the film is properly stored, professionally installed, and maintained per the care guidance. It does not cover abrasion, scratches, gloss change, or normal wear. Heat-removable within 2 years for the cleanest removal, with minimal adhesive residue.

Application

  • Surface: apply only to a clean, sound, fully cured OEM factory finish. Repainted, primed, aftermarket, or damaged surfaces can affect adhesion and removal and fall outside warranty coverage.
  • Apply at +17°C to +23°C
  • Tools: squeegee, buffer, knife, masking tape, heat gun, magnets, gloves, IR thermometer, IR heater
  • Conformability: smooth and medium-curved surfaces
  • Post-heat: 100°C
  • Cure: 24 hrs above 10°C (48 hrs at room temperature recommended)
  • Overlap: 3 to 4 mm
  • Directional film. The color-shift effect orients with the film, so keep orientation consistent across all panels and use one production LOT per vehicle to avoid a mismatched shift between panels.
  • Avoid overstretching during application, which can distort the color-shift pigment
  • Remove the protective cap before installing
  • Professional installation strongly recommended for the best result and to keep the warranty valid
  • Aftercare: hand wash with a pH-neutral shampoo (pH 3 to 11). Avoid waxes, solvents, and petroleum-distillate products, and never use automatic washes, brushes, or high-pressure washers.

Disclaimer

All TeckWrap statements, technical information, and recommendations are based on tests believed to be reliable but do not constitute a guarantee or warranty. All products are sold with the understanding that the buyer has independently determined the suitability of the products for their purpose.

TeckWrap products are warranted to be free of defects in material for the period of shelf life. In case of defects, TeckWrap will replace the product or compensate at its sole discretion. This is the exclusive obligation of TeckWrap Inc.

Warranty does not cover normal wear, transportation, labor, or consequential damages. Coverage requires proper storage, professional installation, and maintenance in line with TeckWrap's care guidance, and does not apply to films installed on non-OEM, repainted, or damaged surfaces. If you notice cracking, lifting, edge failure, or other defects, contact your installer promptly for assessment.

Color-shift films change apparent color with viewing angle, lighting, and surroundings, and the direction of the shift follows the film orientation. This is the defining characteristic of a color-shift film and is not a defect.

Removal from aged, repainted, or poorly bonded factory paint may lift paint or clear coat. TeckWrap is not responsible for the condition of the underlying paint upon removal.

Screen images may vary, refer to physical color swatches. Use the same production LOT for color consistency. Scratches during application or daily use are not covered.
