Description

Most reds turn orange in sunlight or burgundy in shade. Velour Red doesn’t play that game. It holds a cool, deeply saturated crimson across every angle, satin finish, metallic bite, no color shift tricks.

Key Attributes

  • Satin that stays satin: low-glare finish kills fingerprints and light distortion, keeps red pure
  • Metallic flake you can feel: fine aluminum particles suspended in film catch daylight as subtle sparkle, never glittery
  • User-friendly: air-egress channels for bubble-free install, conforms around mirror caps and door handles
  • Henkel acrylic adhesive: repositionable; peel it years later and your factory clear coat stays clean
  • Weatherproof topcoat: UV-stable resin resists fading—this red stays red, not pink, not brick

Velour Red sits between cool true red and muted brick, satin sheen absorbs harsh light instead of bouncing it back. The metallic grain is fine and even, visible in overcast conditions, not just under direct sun. Against a typical glossy red wrap, Velour Red looks restrained, almost velvety, but the metal flake gives it an edge that reads performance, not showroom. It’s the red of a car that means business.

OEM Match

  • Same depth as Mazda Soul Red Crystal: satin, not gloss
  • Cooler than Alfa Romeo Rosso Etna: less orange, more crimson
  • Tamer than Ford Rapid Red Metallic: clean sparkle, no overload
  • Closer to a factory satin red than any gloss paint finish

If you love those factory reds, put that same saturated crimson on your M4, Golf R, or Model Y, satin, metallic, and unmistakable.

How TeckWrap compares

Not all film is the same

Cheap film won't last a season. Legacy brands charge a brand premium. TeckWrap sits in the middle: professional-grade film at an honest price.

The cheap way

Budget Film

Saves money up front, then bubbles, fades and cracks within a season.

Price per roll

$80 to $350 per roll. Cheap upfront, then you pay a shop to strip it.

Film construction

Monomeric calendered vinyl. Shrinks back off the edges within months.

Release liner

Paper liner. Curls in storage and telegraphs into the finish.

Adhesive system

Rubber based. Grabs on contact and leaves residue on removal.

Warranty and removal

None stated, or a term with nothing behind it.

Color and finish range

A short list of solids. Color drifts between production batches.
