Description

Most chrome shouts bright silver. TeckWrap's Jet Black doesn't. It's a dark smoked mirror, reflective and stealthy at the same time.

Jet Black is the stealth mirror of TeckWrap's chrome lane. Where Crystal Chrome reflects everything in bright silver, Jet Black darkens the mirror into smoked gunmetal, a finish that still throws reflections but reads moody and futuristic instead of flashy. In shade it goes near-black, then catches the light into a dark liquid-metal shine. Like every true chrome it trades stretch for reflectivity, so it lives on roofs, accent panels, and detail work rather than a full body. On the right build it looks like polished black mercury moving across the panel.

Roofs, mirror caps, accent panels, trim, this is where Jet Black earns its keep. Put a smoked-mirror finish on the details you want reading dark and futuristic.

  • Adhesion: 70, no shifting (standard ≥60)
  • Aging tested +65°C and -65°C: minimum adhesive residue
  • Storage: 1 year at +10°C to +20°C, 50% RH, in original package, away from direct sunlight

Warranty

  • Standard TeckWrap limited warranty for chrome film. Scratches, micro-marks, and metalized-layer distortion from overstretching, overheating, or crumpling are characteristic of chrome material and not covered. Use the same production LOT for color consistency across panels.

Application
  • Apply at +17°C to +23°C
  • Standard squeegee with soft buffer
  • A steam vacuum or IR heater is recommended for controlled heating
  • Conformability: smooth and moderately curved surfaces only
  • Limited stretchability, avoid overstretching, crumpling, or aggressive repositioning
  • Overheating permanently distorts the metalized layer
  • Designed for partial wraps, accents, decals, and detailing
  • Not recommended for full vehicle wraps
  • Remove the protective cap before installing
  • Professional installation strongly recommended

Use the same production LOT for color consistency across panels.
