Description

Most blue chrome sits on one flat blue. TeckWrap's Nova Blue doesn't. It swirls electric blue into amethyst and midnight as the angle shifts.

Key Attributes

  • Nebula blue shift: mirror chrome that swings from electric blue to amethyst and midnight as the angle changes
  • Chrome construction: conformable PVC film with a metallic silver coating for a true reflective mirror surface
  • High-impact shine: a liquid-metal mirror reflection built for accents and statement panels
  • Clean chemistry: Henkel solvent-based moderate adhesive, removable cold within 1 year of installation
  • Controlled placement: air-release channels and a stable film, under 0.20% shrinkage, for precise application
  • Installer-grade: limited stretch by design, best applied by experienced installers on partial wraps with steam or IR heat

Nova Blue is the moody, shifting blue of TeckWrap's chrome lane. Where Indigo Chrome holds one deep indigo mirror, Nova Blue layers amethyst and midnight into the blue so the reflection reads like a night sky moving across the panel, electric in direct light and deep violet-blue in the shade. Like every true chrome it trades stretch for shine, so it lives on roofs, accent panels, and detail work rather than a full body. On the right build it turns a single panel into a depth-charged centerpiece.

OEM Match

  • Closest to BMW Individual Tanzanite Blue Metallic, real, current BMW Individual color, documented for exactly this rich blue-with-a-violet-cast character and heavy pearlescent sparkle.
  • Same family as GM Indigo Blue Metallic, same blue-violet territory, a genuine factory code running since the early '90s.
  • Brighter and less violet than Bugatti Nocturne Blue or Audi Navarra Blue, which sit darker and moodier in that deep-blue range.
  • More saturated than Nissan's Bayside Blue (R34 GT-R, TV2), which runs a touch lighter and punchier.

  • Initial tack: 822 g/25mm (standard 800–1500)
  • Release force: 0.1 N/25mm (standard 0.10–0.30)
  • Adhesion: 70, no shifting (standard ≥60)

Warranty

  • 1-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects. Remove the film within 1 year of installation: cold, without heat, pulling it off quickly at a low angle. Chrome left on longer builds adhesion and can leave adhesive residue or marks in the paint on removal. Full removal and durability terms: TeckWrap Color Change Technical Data Sheet. Scratches, micro-marks, and metalized-layer distortion from overstretching, overheating, or crumpling are characteristic of chrome material and not covered. Use the same production LOT for color consistency across panels.

Application

  • Apply at +17°C to +23°C
  • Standard squeegee with soft buffer
  • A steam vacuum or IR heater is recommended for controlled heating
  • Conformability: smooth and moderately curved surfaces only
  • Limited stretchability, avoid overstretching, crumpling, or aggressive repositioning
  • Overheating permanently distorts the metalized layer
  • Designed for partial wraps, accents, decals, and detailing
  • Not recommended for full vehicle wraps
  • Remove the protective cap before installing
  • Professional installation strongly recommended
  • Removal: within 1 year of installation, cold, without heat, pulling the film off quickly at a low angle.

Disclaimer

Chrome and metalized films stretch less than standard color film, and a mirror finish shows every imperfection beneath it. For the best result, especially on full-vehicle wraps, we recommend installers experienced with chrome. Thorough surface prep and controlled heat matter more with chrome than with any other finish. Use rolls from the same production LOT across panels for consistent color.
Color and reflectivity shift with light, viewing angle and surroundings. Screen images may differ from the film, so check a physical swatch before ordering.
TeckWrap chrome and metalized films are warranted to be free of defects in materials for the shelf life period. If a defect is confirmed, TeckWrap will replace the product or issue compensation at its discretion. This is TeckWrap’s sole obligation.
The warranty does not cover labor, transportation, normal wear or consequential damages. It also does not cover characteristics that come from handling rather than the film itself: scratches or micro-marks from installation or daily use, distortion of the metalized layer from overstretching, overheating or creasing, and adhesive residue when the film stays on past the 1-year removal window.
Remove within 1 year of installation. Removal from aged, repainted or poorly bonded paint may lift paint or clear coat, and TeckWrap is not responsible for paint condition on removal.
All TeckWrap statements, technical information and recommendations are based on tests believed to be reliable and do not constitute a guarantee. The buyer is responsible for determining that the product suits their application.
