The black silver sample I received is just what I needed to get an idea of how this product would work on my project car. It is sufficiently large to see the dramatic shift (flop) in different lighting conditions and on curved surfaces. The material separates from the backing easily and seems very pliable. I did not test its reaction to heat or how conformable it is, but it seems like it would work well when applied by a professional. It is semitransparent, so I'd assume the base color of the vehicle may possibly affect its overall look.
